This is somewhat lighthearted, but has annoyed me. i have an 11 week old DD who we would like to take swimming, but not a single shop in our area stocks swim nappies which would fit her. They all start with the Huggies size 3 which goes from 20lbs. The shops I'm talking about are large Tescos, Waitrose, Co-op and Boots. Anyone know why this is so?

Sorry: just re-read and noted you've already had a good look round. Do they sell singles at the pool? Some places do, particularly if they insist on a certain "configuration" - worth a call.

Golden green that's a good idea - As i bought the size 3 huggies as the smallest ones, they're not massive on her, so popping a swim suit over top will probably do the job.

Swim nappies don't hold the wee in, they're permeable as I foud out when I first used one under his clothes on the way to the pool and had a pissed on car seat

So, no, it's not disgusting for babies to wee in the pool - there is fuck all you can do about it.

You might be able to buy a smaller one at the swimming pool. You will pay a bit extra for it, but my swimming pool sells them if you've not taken them. Useful when I've been a bit disorganised and forgotten them in the morning!

I'm sure I have some if you want them, op.

Asda sell smaller ones, can't remember exactly what size they were but are smaller than the Huggies ones. We had the same problem with our DD and the Asda ones were fine.

When I did swimming with dd at 4months it was recommended that if the baby hadn't pooed in the swim nappy to rinse it out and dry it to reuse. So if you can only buy one at the pool, you could use it a few times if lucky.

They sell swim nappies at the Pool near me.

We always use reusable swim nappies as swim most weeks n about £13-£20 depending on sz n brand. Probably have a first sz girls reusable swim nappy new in pack if u interested just send me pm.

Swimming is great we went from 11wks n little one is 2yrs 5mths n still go most weeks n still use swim nappy.

Boots own do small ones, I took DD when she was 10 weeks old. I've since got a reusable swim nappy.
