To want to scream when I see 'twee' words used in magazines

I'm reading the WeightWatchers magazine (but others are just as guilty) and every other sentence is suggesting I 'pop' some fruit in my bag in case I crave something sweet or 'nibble' on some raw 'veggies' while I'm preparing tea or 'grab' a skinny coffee while I'm out.

AIBU to be really irritated by this sort of lazy cliched writing? I may need to lose weight but I'm not much of an idiot.

You could lose a few ounces throwing the magazine in the bin. Read something more high-brow. FWIW, thinking hard burns a few more calories than normal thinking so read Dostoevsky and feel the burn.

I agree! "Munch on some veggies" ugh!

I expect you're a bit ratty because you're hungry! G'wan - eat some chocolate and make it all better Grin

I so get where you are coming from. Things like that make me scream FUCK OFF and throw whatever it is I'm reading across the room. Yanbu.

McNew I prefer plain English so I'd say 'take' some fruit with you or just simply 'vegetables'.

Have to agree that is not the most highbrow or stimulating read, not sure I am up for Dostoevsky but MN and a good book and a big bar of Dairy Milk sounds like a much better idea.
