Here is unnecessary.

OP posts:
usualsuspect · 30/01/2013 16:36

It's fucking disgusting, bunch of foul mouthed cunts.

usualsuspect · 30/01/2013 16:37

My kindle didn't like me swearing on MN though, but I've taught that fucker to swear now.

MrsHelsBels74 · 30/01/2013 16:38

Who would win in a fight between a wankbadger & a cuntweasel?

StuntGirl · 30/01/2013 16:38

Usual Grin

Narked · 30/01/2013 16:39

If much of it is unnecessary, when is it necessary o wise one?

HecateWhoopass · 30/01/2013 16:41

Yes.

It is.

Swearing at all, anywhere, is unnecessary.

I've never known a sentence that was unclear unless it had a swear word in it.

Where's the coffee?
eh?
where's the @~~^*!# coffee?
Oh! In the cupboard on the right hand side.

I don't think the point of swearing is its necessity.

I don't swear (much) in RL and nor do my friends and family.

Therefore it does grate a bit on here.

To me it makes the site seem a bit childish - like teens who feel they have to swear to appear cool to their peers.

Pagwatch · 30/01/2013 16:42

Hahahahaha.

I wasn't going to nag Mrs DeV...

Doily . Vagoily ?

MrsTerryPratchett · 30/01/2013 16:44

Well I err on the side of the cunt weasel. However, all badgers are tricky buggers and strong. Too much wanking may have turned him blind and weakened him, though.

OP, you know there are non-sweary sites, right? When there are places you can go to not swear, why pick on MN, where it is the zeitgeist/cultural more to swear?

Bobbybird40 · 30/01/2013 16:44

Cunting pissflaps

It's big and clever to swear, not childish at all, so ner ner ner.

Dothraki · 30/01/2013 16:45

Pag your on good form today.
I never fucking swear, not in rl, nor online Smile

BitchyDragons · 30/01/2013 16:45

"To me it makes the site seem a bit childish - like teens who feel they have to swear to appear cool to their peers." Really Hmm

You want to swear you swear. If you don't you don't but this is one of the few sites where they don't give a fuck if you swear. So it is always going to collect those who wish to. Swear words are just words like any other words. Highly fucking descriptive words that convey a lot of emotion and feeling sometimes. I like them.

Don't the like swearing here? no one is forcing you to stay.

Blatherskite · 30/01/2013 16:46

That's enough about oily vages!!

Swearing isn't necessary but it's certainly enjoyable.

It wouldn't be Mumsnet if we had to doily up our swear words or come up with twee alternatives - it'd be Nethuns and there's already too many of them in the world.

garlicblocks · 30/01/2013 16:47

Of course it's cocking unnecessary, you twat! No bugger needs to swear, not ever in the entire fucking universe of cuntdom. It adds a certain, un-motherfucking-deniable emphasis and colour to a statement, as any prick can see. And Mumsnetters are emphatically colourful bastards, I shit you not. Stick your poxy asterisks up your arse, then fuck off to the far side of Fuck on the cunt-train.

:)

I enjoyed that.

Cortana · 30/01/2013 16:49

"oily vages!!" Grin

Ok, Cuntweasel vs WankBadger Vs Oily Vag, three way battle royal. WHO WILL FUCKING WIN!?

garlicblocks · 30/01/2013 16:53

Oily Vadge is pretty good, I must say.

TaggieCampbellBlack · 30/01/2013 16:54

Bollocks.

ouryve · 30/01/2013 16:55

Pagwatch "Swearing is never necessary. It is a pleasure. Nothing more gratifying than a well placed profanity. "

Too fucking right.

HopAndSkip · 30/01/2013 16:57

I think we could be a bit more original though, 'Fuck' and 'Cunt' seem to get all the limelight!

hellsbellsmelons · 30/01/2013 16:59

Hehe - what SoftlySoftly said!

magimedi · 30/01/2013 17:03

I love all the fucking swearing on MN & am pretty bad in real life - as DCs all grown up & left home now & no DGs yet.

However (and this is not just related to MN) it does sometimes slightly worry my feminist soul that cunt, which we all know means female genitalia, is thought of as the 'worst' word. I think young girls have enough problems about their bodies without cunt being used as a term of abuse to them.

(And I just love wankbadger, which I'd never heard before reading MN).

MrsTerryPratchett · 30/01/2013 17:08

I am reclaiming cunt. I hate being told it's the 'worst' swearword. Let's reclaim it and use it with pride. I would much rather say 'cunt' than 'cock' .

garlicblocks · 30/01/2013 17:09

And vadgedoily / cuntdoily. I'm adopting that as a new term for priggishness.
