. . . not seek any sort of medical help in case:

  1. they say there is nothing wrong with it
  2. they say there IS something wrong with it Shock
  3. they don't know if there is something wrong with it or not

it is difficult to combine being a bit hypochondriacal with a dislike of seeing doctors :(

They'll probably give you naproxen/diclofenac and codeine. Can make you feel a bit floaty but it bloody works!

Chances are it's nothing to worry about, but it's best to get it checked, even if it's just to hep with the pain! Sprains etc really aren't a lot of fun. And especially if they stop you from holding wine glasses Grin

the thought of getting some drugs to make it feel better is a massive help!

hope I don't cry Blush am not one of life's stoics when it comes to this sort of thing

If you don't like doctors how about a reputable physio for a consultation?

Mitchy1nge · 28/01/2013 23:26

that is a good idea, I know some physios

is not really the actual doctors I don't like, it's the whole going to the surgery, sitting in the germy waiting room etc, great chunks of my life slipping away and then feeling all wounded and vulnerable while they poke and prod things that hurt

technically I have sort of spoken to a doctor about it but he was unable to remember the difference between ligaments and tendons and the subject was changed
