Just looked at the shortlist of winners for the bedtime story competition. Two of them are men. Doesn't seem fair, though I know lots of people will disagree. It is Mumsnet after all,not Dadsnet!

I'm just about one of the hairiest, blokeish brutes that you might see walking down the street, I have a full beard, tattoos and will stand at a bar effing and jeffing with the lads whilst swilling pints of bitter

You sound like some of the Mums at my DS's school Grin

Clawdy · 28/01/2013 19:21

Aw, Ninja you sound cute! Were you a shortlister??

All Grandmas should be disqualified as well as they have their own site in Gransnet.

Do you agree OP, based on your reasoning for Men not to be included you should do.

Clawdy · 28/01/2013 19:31

No,because Gransnet was included in the comp!

OP posts:
CaseyShraeger · 28/01/2013 19:38

Yes, but Dadsnet is a part of Mumsnet (like AIBU) so was also included.

HelenMumsnet · 28/01/2013 19:39

Evening all.

And no, we don't think it's unfair that two men were listed in the shortlist of 20 for the Walker Books comp: after all, the competition Ts & Cs didn't exclude men (as if we would anyway).

It was in the Ts & Cs that you had to be a registered user of Mumsnet or Gransnet but men are allowed to join Mumsnet (and Gransnet), you know.

Well done to all on the shortlist - which you can see here
