To think this Ikea price increase is unreasonable

Hi all I recently bought my niece a childs kitchen from ikea as a Christmas present which with everything included ( top and botton sections ) came to exactly £60, the kitchen was well made and reasonably priced so I decided to purchase one for my daughter for her 2nd Birthday this month.

When I went to buy it I realised that they have put the price up by £30 which means that for the same item I would have to pay £90.

I accept that there are price increases on items all the time but I am surprised that they are now charging so much more for the same item which only a couple of months ago was so much cheaper. The item wasnt on sale previously either.

Would it be unreasonable for me to contact them to ask why this increase has occured??

We noticed it was £60 three weeks ago, didn't realise is was a temporary price drop, checked a couple of days ago and it is back up to £90. Gutted Sad

There wasno signage saying the price was temporary or on sale.

I've been looking for one for my DD and DS. What about this one from amazon instead?
