I know it's my own fault for being on here too much but I am really amazed by some of the things mumsnetters get worked up about. This week alone I've wanted to;

  1. buy another toilet brush so I have 2 in the house.
  2. give my son a biscuit at 9:59am which, as you are aware, is BEFORE 10am.
  3. Have a glass of wine at 4pm instead of 6pm! So am I unreasonable to do all three in one day just to amuse myself and imagine the pearl clutching that would be going on here?

Mnetters I know, I don't do Mnetters Blush

Love pjs..

Yrnbu! What I like are posters who have huge opinions on all aspects of child rearing and you then find they have one Pfb of 8 months. But know it all.

Hilarious.

  1. you only need one toilet brush is you have one toilet, what on earth would you use the 2nd one for?
Oh scrap that, yabu to have a toilet brush, you need those disposable ones. Wink

  2. What! I'm supposed to wait until 10am to give dc a biscuit? Yanbu, I wasn't aware of this rule.

  3. Yabu, it's a Sunday, Wine time starts at noon.

what have you got against pearls?

Doogle2 · 27/01/2013 14:53

Mrswolo as you did this in public I shall be searching the threads to see if anyone saw you!

Mrsw.. I am horrified and suggest you seek parenting classes.

acceptableinthe80s · 27/01/2013 15:35

Ah but mrsw at least you took your children out for some fresh air and exercise [guilty emoticon]

detective Relaxing at home is my forte, seems I have competition Grin

Well I am a true rebel. I fed ds 7 months a mouthful of betty Crocker devils food cake at breakfast the other day. He loved it and I'm sure he will survive and won't remain on a diet of sugar until he is 18. Dd aged 9 has survived happily until now. An odd unhealthy treat is not the end of the world. I couldn't even be bothered to comment on the thread.

I have 2 loo brushes. I love a good brush :)

And I have been known to stay in pjs all day and drink wine at 4.

Shoot me :)

FlouncingMintyy · 27/01/2013 15:45

Ya b a little bit u to give a fig what other people do over small things like this. But you know it, so that's fine Wine - well it is Sunday!

Arisbottle · 27/01/2013 15:53

I don't go out of my way to do things that Mners would disaprove of, but I get a little thrill from knowing that I manage to do so without trying that hard.

fl0b0t · 27/01/2013 18:02

So you're not tempted to change your tea-towels twice a day then?

Arisbottle · 27/01/2013 18:27

I have a dishwasher that dries, I know not of these objects that you talk about.

Emilythornesbff · 27/01/2013 18:32

I have loo brushes.
Is that wrong?
(they're only used in the loos btw)

GrimmaTheNome · 27/01/2013 18:35

What's wrong with having 2 loo brushes? Confused

I always have 3 (one for each loo).

OTOH I have no biscuits or wine in the house at the moment. That would probably horrify some MNetters. Grin

loo briushes are only unreasonable if you clean them in the dishwasher.

I dont own one BTW - cant stand the things - its just something else to move round the bathroom floor

CheCazzo · 27/01/2013 18:38

That is utterly fabulous lockets - and when I'm in charge (won't be long now folks!) it will be compulsory!

Not sure what's about the toilet brush, but I have three and only two bathrooms.

I was going to say that I sort of agreed with you, but also sort of disagreed ;)

Arisbottle · 27/01/2013 19:44

I have five toilet brushes, do I win?

Astelia · 28/01/2013 16:14

OP I feel your pain. The minute nit picking of how often sheets get washed is another one. Who cares?

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 28/01/2013 16:18

I feel strongly about some things that I suspect you don't give a toss about and vice versa. We are all different.

I draw the line at "like" though. This is MN

Mother2many · 28/01/2013 17:27

I'm guilty too... I don't walk my dog much, I don't play with the kids as much I want to, I'm lazy, and I complain too much. I'll fight for you, even if I don't know you, and complain about you, even if I don't know you... lol I have strong opinions too... and sometimes I have to bite my tongue to avoid a petty fight over being told I'm in the wrong...period... LOLOL

lljkk · 28/01/2013 18:49

Sometimes MN makes me want to go get 3 tats, a wheezy staffie with spiked collar, wear my PJs on the school run and start smoking fags.

And call my son Jayden. That has to be the greatest MN sin of all.
