The Real Tennis courts at Hanpton Court are amaze!

blonderthanred · 27/01/2013 10:53

Why are they each wearing one white wrist band and one yellow? Did they share out two pairs between them?

LadyBeagleEyes · 27/01/2013 10:55

Well it is tennis, but not as we know it.

TaggieCampbellBlack · 27/01/2013 10:55

Shock language!

seeker · 27/01/2013 10:58

And now they're grunting.

Hampton. Not Hanpton!

TaggieCampbellBlack · 27/01/2013 11:00

Bored now. Off to Lidl.

I am feeling awfully superior when I ask....have you not seen any non-Wimbledon tennis before? The colours ARE generally brighter and the sounds squeakier. Wait until the end and you see the showbiz jamboree. Ghastly colonials.

blueraincoat · 27/01/2013 11:15

Been watching this at work most of the week where the TV is on mute with subtitles. Didn't know about the squeaking. Eeeeeeek.

EyesCrossedLegsAkimbo · 27/01/2013 11:48

Hmmm the colour isn't as bad as the Madrid Blue Clay fiasco.

LeeCoakley · 27/01/2013 11:55

Can't believe a Brit would not have white shoes. Shock
And the squeaking is really off-putting. Venues - change the surface ASAP!

MrsDoomsPatterson · 27/01/2013 12:35

I was aghast when navy blue Ralph Lauren came in over green & purple at Wimbo. And who remembers Barbara Potter in the 80s? She wore a jumpsuit!!! Or something like that anyway.

PuffPants · 27/01/2013 13:13

I though all the thanking of sponsors was a bit vulgar and the endless crawling to the tournament organisers, what was that all about? Somehow Wimbledon feels like a proper sporting event whereas that felt like a very dull corporate shindig without canapés.

Can you imagine if we had to listen to a speech from the CEO of Robinsons at the end of the Wimbledon final?
