To hate doing food shopping

Today is the dreaded food shop day. I hate it. There's always closed tills where people could be on but no instead you're stuck in an aisle long queue with the slowest person imaginable in front of you.

I've been going to Asda this year as a resolution not to spend money unneccessarily and there are many things that are hugely cheaper than Saino's and Waity's - ie, tinned toms for 50p, pasta for 50p - in fact almost everything one picks up is cheaper and the quality is excellent - it really is. I reckon a saving of about £40 pw.

However, on Saturday I had to go early afternoon. It was utterly disgusting, it was crammed full of large families, unwashed families, it was hard to unpack because the manager had put Hot X buns at all the checkouts so one had three feet further to haul the heavy shopping onto the belt (it's hot x bun sales competition; they might sell the buns but they won't keep the customers). To add insult to injury the checkout lady forgot to remove a security tag from a £5 pair of gummy headphones so having battled through that lot I was chased by a security guard who had to inspect my bill. Potential shop-lifter me.

If I didn't have £40 quid a week to waste I would go back but I do and there is no way I am confronting that level of unpleasantness, general inconvenience and downright horror ever again. Not saying there was anything wrong with the products but the overall experience was utterly vile.

Asda - hope you are listening.

Married for a weekend shop you may be better off doing a delivery with Asda in that case - you'll still save a hefty amount even with paying delivery charge

I love it! I can easily spend ages wondering around looking at things. Where do you live? I will do it for you, just give me a list!

Oacdo is bloody brilliant.

I will never, ever go back to 'normal' shopping again.

Excellent service, lovely lovely guys and their tesco price match means that they are no longer the expensive option.

Do it OP, you won't look back.
