I go to a coffee morning/playgrounp thing every Friday and all the women are lovely. There is one woman there who I am friendly with but we never met up outside of the group.

We do text each other occasionally.

She wasn't there this morning, so I sent her a text saying - hey, are you coming today?

She sent one back saying - No, I've just got my period and theres blood everywhere.

Now I'm no pearl clutcher but aibu to have pulled this face >> Hmm and thought that was slightly inappropriate?

Sometimes people get surprise visits, but it's not something we generally talk about, perhaps she was thinking you are closer than you think you are?

fluffyraggies · 25/01/2013 20:47

Dunno about hairy cocks, but i would've sent a sympathetic text back. Wouldn't have phased me at all.

MimsyBorogroves · 25/01/2013 20:50

Not sure about the appropriateness, but just thought I'd share a friend's experience of depanting a new boyfriend and discovering he had what she described as "a yeti cock". Apparently there was hair right up the length.

She carried on anyway, and apparently it chafed terribly.

I realise this is over sharing on a thread about over sharing, but it's someone else's story so I think I can be excused.

She probably thought having a period would sound like a lame excuse and wanted to validate her reason.

Hope she's not reading this...

I was going on a date and I decided to buy myself new underwear.

And I couldn't decide on the colours.

So I text him saying - pink or brown?

It was only after I sent it how inappropriate he might find it Grin

It sounds like she was having a bit of a bad moment!

knackeredmother · 25/01/2013 21:32

Am crying laughing at yeti cock and pink or brown!

Flisspaps · 25/01/2013 21:42

Moontime?!

babiesinslingsgetcoveredinfood · 25/01/2013 21:45

YANBU awkward!

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 25/01/2013 21:47

I thought that was the excuse to get out of P.E, not a coffee morning? I'm fairly sure the coffee morning excuse is, "No, I just fed DS and there's pukey boob juice everywhere". Maybe she got confused.

Bessie123 · 25/01/2013 21:48

Do you both have babies? Because I think when your dcs are babies you kind of lose sight sometimes of what is appropriate to share. My grandma certainly did not appreciate being told about one of my baby dd's poo explosions.

Blessyou · 25/01/2013 21:50

@ pink or brown!
what was his reply?

brainonastick · 25/01/2013 21:57

I think she feels very comfortable with you, a good sign for a new friendship no?

HoHoHoNoYouDont · 25/01/2013 22:00

I'm sorry but I'm still weeping at worra "No, I'm knocking out a curler and it fucking stinks". Grin

WorraLiberty · 25/01/2013 22:46

I'm laughing at "yeti cock"! Grin
