Was going to send it yesterday, but got distracted when I got home and didn't get a chance.

Yesterday, I was pushing DD in her pram through the snow and the bus for one of the local comprehensives drove past. There were a few boys mucking about on the bus which drew my attention and one of them in particular was pulling faces at me. Now, I've been told a few times that I have an "oriental" appearance from certain angles, and after I looked up at the bus the first time, the boy started to pull the corners of his eyes.

WIBU if I emailed the school to complain about this boy's behaviour? I got a really good look at him while he was pressing his face up against the window and I can't imagine there's many boys in the school with that hair colour/style.

boredSAHM - in my county most secondary children are bussed to school and the schools can definitely ban children from buses and I think the bus operators can as well if they have trouble with a particular child or children.

Not just private schools here and as someone above said it's a real pain for the parents if this happens as for lots of people there are no suitable service buses.

One of ours was stupid enough to moon from the window of the school bus.

We told him there was an arse recognition system and we had identified him from a photo.

Really, it wasn't that hard to guess who was that bloody stupid.

In our county the schools work closely with school transport. They have to have some control over the behaviour of the pupils to keep them safe.

Pupils who display unacceptable behaviour are banned from travelling on the bus for set periods and when you live 12 miles from the school the parents get very p**d off.

If this boy is making racist gestures at you he could be doing similar to other pupils on the bus. You've done the right thing by raising it.

bored, we have a reciprocal arrangement with the buses.

If school want a child banned following a complaint they support this (school staff supervise kids embarking & will stop the child getting on).

Equally, if the bus driver wants a kid banned because they have witnessed poor behaviour - we send the letter home, & again, prevent the child from getting on the bus.
