Really dont know whether its ok.

She woke at 5.30, hungry I thought, but still tired. Too tired to get her up, but I didnt think she would go back to sleep without milk.

WIBU to fill a bottle and take it in for her and let her just do it herself and ahem go back to bed ?

She is 13mo. Oh, and fwiw, I know I should be weaning her onto a cup for milk (uses one for water) but its slowly happening.

I would at that age.

At 13 months I would.

I think at over a year old they are perfectly capable of holding their own bottle.

What happens if they fall asleep with the bottle in their mouth?

HecateWhoopass · 25/01/2013 06:25

Oh, that was an actual question btw Grin

It's been over a decade since I've done bottles! Honestly can't remember if the milk would trickle out or not.

Is it any sort of choking or inhaling risk? If not, then I don't see any problem with it.

I think I used to do this, you might have to change the sheet later though. Worth it for the extra sleep IMO Grin

GoldPlatedNineDoors · 25/01/2013 06:41

Phew. Thought it might have you clutching at the pearls but glad it hasnt. Fwiw it didnt work but looking at her now she seems a little under the weather (mmr jabs last tues).

We are up! Grin

No idea if theres a choke risk but shes never ever fallen asleep.on a bottle so would be surprised if she did now.

So long as she can, why not?

valiumredhead · 25/01/2013 07:51

I used to do this with ds at that age and we used to throw the bottle out of the cot so I used to wait for the thud so I knew he hadn't gone back to sleep with it in his mouth.
