To not want my 2 year old to say 'fart'

DS is 2, and picking up new words all the time - a recent one being 'fart', courtesy of DP. We generally have a 'no swearing in front of DS' rule, but according to DP fart doesn't count. I get that not everyone sees it as that bad a word, but it still doesn't seem right for a toddler to be saying it. AIBU?

I even have a small plush version of Walter and when you squeeze his tum he farts breaks wind.

We are also fans of Whoopee Cushions in this house and farting putty. Does that make my terribly declasse?

The proper English word is fart. It's in Chaucer and everything.

Ridiculous euphemisms such as 'blow off' and 'fluff' are as bad as 'lounge' or 'toilet'.
