I do remember the PollyChrome thread but had no idea it was FrannyandZooey - that thread was just brilliant :o.

And there was a Cod one about a child being accidentally shut in a school cupboard during a fire alarm test which ended with criticism of the child's failure to make good use of his time in the cupboard given the fact he had both glue and cardboard within easy reach. That was a good 'un.

I was a bit taken aback by the reaction to my cake spoof - I couldn't understand WHY people were reporting it. But things change. There are some wonderful witty interesting new posters, and new in-jokes as well. I suppose it's a case of "adapt or fuck off"

I think only approved posters should be allowed to start a thread. To be approved you would have to go on a quest to Mumsnet towers and face a series of challenges to prove your worthiness. Possibly involving fighting the dragons, removing swords from things, or eating a packet of Pom Bears.

Bloody hell I've never, ever reported a thread or poster. I'm not that anal.

I believe I started a joke thread once myself. It was about people chewing with their mouths open and how they should be made to face a wall in restaurants.
