He has no gloves/mittens. Can't find any of Dd's old ones. About to venture out with him in the sling (which he's outgrown!) and his little hands will get freezing. Normally he's warm in his pushchair and hands in footmuff.

So should I put a few pairs of socks on his hands?

We did it with DS when he was a baby and had cradle cap. HV suggested it as they are much longer than scratch mits and don't come off as easily.

Looked pretty much like mittens (especially the coloured ones).

Anything to keep them warm in this weather!!

If your baby's hands were warm when you got back, it was clearly okay.

For future reference, i've put my own ski mitts onto my friend's baby when he's in the papoose... they go over his entire arms almost up to the shoulders but he doesn't seem to mind Grin
