Secondly, the day Miranda and Gary get together properly for real, forever, is the day the whole series will end. I quite enjoy it, so am happy to see Miranda with the newscaster for the time being.

Miranda dumped Gary because he married somebody else and didn't think to mention it. Seems to be a pretty good reason to dump a man, even if it was only a green card wedding.

But there is 'such fun' to be had with both Miranda and Gary having other partners and letting the jealously of the other still get to them.

They'd have to finish the series, as everyone's said, if Miranda got together with Gary. All tension gone. But they have to get together in the end.

I'm interested to see how this plays out: will Gary try to split up Miranda and Mike? Will Gary get together with ?Tilly ('bear with') in a misguided attempt to make Miranda jealous? I can't see Mike dumping Miranda. He's such a Good Sort, even though I can't bear the 'Quirky'.

Is it going to be like Anne of Green Gables where Gary/Gilbert gets desperately ill and Miranda/Anne has a dark night of the soul and rushes to his bedside?

I love the Miranda/Gary nearly-snogging. I love how G looked so desolate at the end of ep3. I actually am a tiny bit smitten with MH herself. She is glorious in Call the Midwife. I want to see her do more proper acting. And I can put up with all the wig wig wig moments for the unrequited love stuff.

I love the programme but it made me quite cross when the 'marriage of convenience' kept being called a 'green card' marriage, there is NO green card in UK, its an American thing!

I am sure Miranda Hart insinuated there wouldn't be many more series of the show - she was reluctant to write this series (seem to remember her saying this on Graham Norton earlier in 2012....)
