This is my first ever new thread and its in the wrong place, just wanted to share something nice. My dear mil lost her watch today, was very upset and going to retrace her steps tomorrow hoping to find it. I gave tescos a call and some very kind person had found it and handed it in. My mil is thrilled to bits and will be waiting outside the store for the doors to open in the morning. How nice is that.

That's excellent! Well done you and the honest person in Tesco. I hope good times come to them, whoever they are, and to you for being helpful. ThanksThanksThanks

My husband dropped his wallet in a DIY shop (here in Australia) on Saturday - it was handed in intact.

Good to know there are honest people around - in fact most people are, and it's good for us to be reminded of it.

that's lovely! both stories are. years ago i lost my purse in tesco, phoned up, and someone had found it in a trolley and handed it in, contents intact. thank you that nice lady. xx

That's brilliant! May I add another one? The man at the Co-op checkout ran up the road after me today after I left my card in the machine in my haste to get my aromatic and increasingly vociferous toddler home Smile

It doesn't have to be much to do a good deed each day. Just hand back some litter that has been dropped Pick up something that has been dropped accidentally. I picked up a dummy once that a child had dropped out of its pushchair and the mother had not noticed. Simple stuff. Even just a Good Morning to someone you pass in the street. Take in parcels for neighbours. Push someone's bin back into their garden if they're away for a couple of days after the dustcart has been. Tell someone if their clothes label at the neck is hanging out (rather than sewn on the outside).

(a) it helps someone and (b) it makes you feel nicer for the day.
