I've been asked to organise a hen weekend away which I'm happily doing. Today the subject of goody bags came up and I just sort of nodded and acted as if I had them under control. Now I'm panicking coz I haven't got the faintest idea what to put in a hen party goody bag I didn't know they existed. Please please help me!!!!

For my friend's hen do, her bridesmaid did party bags with: little tiara and wand, nail file, one of those individual shot things, glow sticks, haribo, party poppers. I thought it was really sweet and we all wore our tiaras out (soooo cool...) Didn't do it for mine though, as it wasn't really a night out.

I have done these a few times.

I bought a job lot of girly looking paper gift bags and printed my own labels to stick on saying the persons name and Thank you for coming to X's hen weekend.

I didn't go for the tacky as such (other than the willy cake pops) but put in a coloured lip balm, exfoliating gloves, hand cream, pretty nail file and some sweets. I made sure it was all stuff I would want to receive myself otherwise would be a waste of money. I also did badges (from ebay) with the hens photo on with made up hen names (a bit tacky I know but it provided lots of laughs and the opportunity to have a shot each time someone forgot to use the 'new' names)

I think its a nice touch especially when often the guests are paying a lot to go away for a weekend etc. If it is just for a night I would be less keen but have done 'willy' cup cakes and badges for evenings.

As you can tell I plan lots of parties Grin

Nothing wrong with chocolate cocks - its feels quite naughty.

I did make cock shaped cakes once - some in chocolate sponge with chocolate icing and some with pink icing. We have some very classy photos of everyone eating them in a very posh restaurant Hmm

My bridesmaid brought along some willy whistles along to my hen night. My 5 year old found it weeks later in my bag and took it to school. Mortified is not the word!

Brandon Grin

After the hen night with the cock straws, everyone's FB photo the next day was of them sucking on one

The pampering ideas seem the way to go, what about chocs and small bottles of fizzy rosey wine. Your bound to offend someone with lots of plastic willies etc. also depends on the budget. Have you to pay for this or the bride? Could end up quite pricey. Good luck.

Brandon Grin actually my friend took one of the leftover chocolate willy shaped cakes home with her and the next day her husband had a panic as found their 18 month old son in the hallway eating what looked like a turd. The funny thing is that he was more freaked out when he realised it was a chocolate willy cake!

Haha Grin

I think that a recovery kit is definitely the way to go, especially if it's a weekend. You could leave them in the guests' rooms.
