I would question why you need the permission of strangers to relax, tbh.

Keep on top of things and you can have "time off" when needed.

Being organised allows you more free time.

rubyslippers · 08/01/2013 15:47

you don't need to justify having a quiet day IMO

YANBU.

Organised or disorganised it sounds like you deserve a sofa day and it will probably do you good.

Hope you're enjoying the tv :)

I think it is quite sad that people seem to think it is essential to rush from one task to another and cram as much as possible into their lives. There seems to be 'disapproval' of anyone who doesn't cram 36 hours into 24 !! I often read posts on mumsnet about how 'busy' people are and yet they go on to say they have five children, care for elderly parents, two dogs, six cats, five hamsters, full time job, studying for OU, training for a marathon, bake their own bread, grow their own veg etc etc etc and then wonder why they are exhausted Grin. There is surely some element of choice in how you live your life?

Slight exageration but you know what I mean, and yes, you are quite right to have a lazy day OP.

Don't be daft. Relaxation should be attempted whenever the opportunity arises Grin

How are you, 1991all ? Your thread about your dh was very sad.

1991all · 08/01/2013 18:14

which one?!!
the one where he was furious with me?

I'm ok I guess
I'm not sure how we are going to figure it out, but I know we are over. It's unbelievable how disapproving he is, but it's ingrained, he's not going to change
He's been ok, calmed down, which I knew he would

hence feeling guilty about having a lazy day
