Yet also happy:
Today a friend has told me she's pregnant (planned and hoped for). She's got 2 DC and is a lovely mum.

I have 1 DS and have been TTC for 12 months now and nothing has happened.
A few weeks ago I turned 40 and decided that was the cut off for trying. I had PND with DS and have always been fearful of getting it with a second baby.
Maybe I didn't try hard enough, maybe it's fate saying "yep, you'd have got it again so I'm not letting you conceive".

I'm grateful for DS and over the moon for friend but deep down I am desperately angry that I won't have another baby.

I'm a dick aren't I, I should get a grip and just thank my lucky stars that I have a beautiful, healthy son?

Hmm

Judging by the extension we are building so DS can have our old bedroom (previously a lounge - it's a bungalow!) because he's got so many toys.... I'm doing a good job of spoiling Grin

I do look at positives and I'm sure I'll be happy to use protection once we book a holiday abroad, oh that'd be bliss!!!

Get yourself to your GP's and ask for a day 21 progesterone test. Simple blood test and if you need help, it's only a few pills. Go now.

Also if you live close to Bristol and want to avoid the NHS waiting list as it could take months, message me and I'll send you details of a fab consultant.

OP, I don't know if this will be any encouragement to you.

I TTC unsuccessfully. Then realised I had moderate endometriosis. Treatment was a laparoscopy followed by a gruelling six month (really ten month) menopause.

I then became pregnant very quickly after that.

Sadly I'm not near Bristol but that's an excellent tip, thank you.

I've had 2 laparoscopies so far and I get I may need another soon. Might be what I need to clear the way so to speak. I had a traumatic ECS too which was "worse than normal" (whatever normal is!) as they had to shove their hands in and turn DS and pull him out by his legs (something about him looking up. So my cut was a bit wider and it was more than the usual "a bit of pushing on your tummy" Wink so I wonder if scarring might be an additional hurdle.

I will ask DH if we can give it another go in a month or so. We are both stressed due to major building work on out house and are living in a total mess. Not really suitable for romantic evenings Wink
