To hate the episode of friends that's just been on?

It's the one where Rachel gets a new job and Ross being a controlling insecure nob end rings her up and sends her loads of flowers to work. He thinks that because she works with Mark she's obviously going to sleep with him because you know women can't be friends with me.

He even sends a barber shop quartet thingy to sing about her loving boyfriend Ross FFS.
Then when she complains he turns it round on her twat

I know I'm less tolerant of Ross and men like him since my years of reading mumsnet.
I really want her to tell him to fuck off and the LTB!
AIBU?

Disclaimer - I have a 6 week newborn constantly wanting food and cuddles so I am slightly on edge today Grin

Happy endings is a good program, and it's quite cheap on amazon too. I like Max in 2 Broke Girls, but Caroline drives me NUTS. More than Ross!

Another good Ross moment is when he's out in Monica's Porshe with Rachel. "I had a dream last night, Officer... Pretty". "It's Petty!"

I am/was a huge Friends fan! Although we don't have Sky, so can't watch the repeats for the 50 millionth time Sad. But didn't the episode you're talking about lead to her breaking up with him because he was so suffocating? I always thought most people watching it would have realised he was being a complete idiot and it wasn't a normal or romantic way to behave.

I do like 2 Broke Girls but I've missed a couple of the new series.
I've managed to record all 7 seasons of HIMYM on my TiVo to watch whilst feeding etc.

Ross is a terrible character. Being idolised by his mum and seeing his sister being treated so badly has left him with little respect for women. The forums on Television Without Pity are full of analyses and Ross hate.

Yes MsVestibule It leads to the break up and the whole "we were on a break"

I've watched them all so many times. I was happy when they moved from E4 to CC, there were a few episodes that they never played on E4 I.e. the free porn one, and quite a few had scenes cut out. So on CC it was like having new episodes Smile

I've never seen a complete episode of Friends (and even then it's only been a couple of bits of about 3 episodes)

On subject of e4 alternatives, I really liked Suburgatory although I was a bit shocked when I realised that the dad is Elton from Clueless - mind you he's aged nicely ;)

Theres a new show called The New Normal on E4 on thursday that Im going to watch, right after TBBT and Two Broke Girls.
It looks pretty good on the adverts.

I love E4 thursdays too it's the one night my 2 teens DD's & I actually all watch something we ALL enjoy as opposed to tolerate. Oh & Revenge is back on Mondays

Have been watching Friends this afternoon...the one where Phoebe tries to get Chandler to confess to his and Monica's relationship is on at 4...I am looking forward to that one.

I agree that the episode mentioned in the OP - most people would realise that Ross's behaviour was completely OTT.

Yeah suburgatory is awesome. I also love rules of engagement, how I met your mother, happy endings and dont trust the B in apartment 23 is great.

Hate TBBT, new girl and 2 broke girls though.
