Ok,so i have 4 kids,they are 4,3,2 (5,4and 3 in feb) and one who is 12 weeks.

obviously small age gaps,i get alotofcomments about having my hands full, havnt you got a telly etc, which dont bother me really,as i do have my hands full!

I dont find it that hard, they bicker sometimes which i find hard but apart from that its fine.we live in a big house with 4 bedrooms and dont struggle for money so no worries about any of that.

after dc4 i decided i didnt want touse pills/coils/implants etc as i dont like the way they make me feel, and decided i would just figure out the days i would be fertile and not have sex on or around those days.

I did it online but for somereason forgot to put in that my cycle was long (34 days) and so instead of doing it on the days i wasnt fertile i did it on the days i was!(christmas day!!)

So now i am kind of shitting myself that i might be having number 5,which doesnt overly worry me in the ways you would think, but i am just worried about what everyone will think of me and the comments i will get!

Has anyone else had lots of children close together and how do you deal with all the attention?

YY, POAS!

5dcsinneedofacleaner · 07/01/2013 12:11

OP I know what you mean we have 5 and neither dh or I would be particularly against any more but what made me decide to have a coil was that I just hate dealing with peoples reaction! Stupid but true.

Willowme · 07/01/2013 12:22

Hey Amber I think I may be in the same situation although I only have one DS. I'm due this wk too but have been having what I can only describe as morning sickness.

Reading between the lines you sound as if you would be very happy with another one! POAS!!!

MrsMelons · 07/01/2013 12:42

Boooooo Amber - I cannot wait till Friday! Grin

I did a first response 4 days before my period was due Grin

kinkyfuckery · 07/01/2013 12:45

YANBU. If you think you can care and provide for another baby, it's you and your DHs decision whether to have another or not. Have you told your DH that you suspect you may be yet?

Feminine · 07/01/2013 13:20

YANBU but...I don't think you know your body very well.

How could you not know you were ovulating/or not? Even without an on-line planner...

You like being pregnant right? well you have to I guess Grin

Dahlen · 07/01/2013 13:24

Feminine - she doesn't know her cycle very well because she hasn't had that many since the arrival of DC1 Wink

Congrats if it's a positive. Sounds like you'll cope fine and far better for a 5th child to be born to loving, coping parents than a first to a crap one. Smile

AmberSocks · 07/01/2013 13:26

feminine the stupid thing is i do know my body really well, i knew i hadnt ovulated yet,it was literally hours after doing the deed that i ovulated!I dont really know why i ignored that!

I didnt get a test in the end,was goingto pop in on the way to getting dc2 and 3 from pre school but didnt have time!

Yes i do enjoy being pregnant and giving birth,it seems to agree with me!Although i was quite tired the last few weeks last time,my kids all started school and pre school around that time though so it was all a bit overwhelming what with the new routine and everything.

Dahlen true...

Still I don't really get the problem.

op wanted to get pregnant again otherwise she wouldn't have chosen such an archaic method!

It was bound to happen.

I've got pregnant at all different times of my cycle...sure many people have :)

Feminine · 07/01/2013 13:30

Good luck though op you sound like a lovely Mum.

Moominsarescary · 07/01/2013 13:39

I usually know when I'm ovulating but had no idea when I fell pg with ds5, not only did I have no symptoms but it must have been very early in the month

Congratulations! My friend recently had dc6, the youngest 4 are 4,3,2, and 6 months

AmberSocks · 08/01/2013 16:54
