To think that the CBB 'celebs' are NOT celebs....

I must point out I don't generally watch this shite, more to annoy myself and shout at the telly. But, really?? A crap singer, some tramp that gets her tits out for a living and various others that I don't even vaguely recognise. They are not celebs!!I have seriously screwed my life up when I could poop better talent but choose to work for a living!!

Why do so many of you want to come on and advertise your ignorance of popular culture?

It isn't anything to be proud of.

Anyone who reads a daily newspaper will have heard of most of the people appearing. Even 'The Guardian' has a TV guide!

Domino, I work in sales and am vairy working class actually. I have strong values (but not religious or Daily Mail orientated). from a strong (think Emmeline Pankhurst) single parent background and in no way jealous of models. I used to be one for local agencies but
never big names, I just roll my eyes that any parent would find this a suitable profession for their child. Franke is a professional (although having visited his restaurant in Chiswick would suggest he sticks to racing and not running an eaterie.

Spencer Pratt and Heid Montag. They were in the Hills (a MTV reality show) . She has had a vast amount of plastic surgery (at a very young age)

I dont ever have a tv guide and have never watched corrie or heartbeat so it's not a given that the majority of people would know who they all are (ditto neighbours/home and away actor etc)

fackinell I wasn't thinking of your condemnation of Lacey as snobbish more of the actresses and pop stars. Your opinion on women getting their clothes off for money is up to you. My only observation of page 3 girls is that most (especially the 80s and 90s ones) seem very nice and classy in their normal behaviour (e.g Nell Mcandrew, Linda Lusardi, Melinda Messenger) It's the top models (Moss, Campbell etc) who take loads of drugs and behave in a common way.

I dont watch soaps and I don't read trash mags either. And I never read the showbiz sections online.

Oh - fackinell - it's a parents job to support a childs choices not crucify them for it - and if you were real working class, your mother would have been haulled over the coals for being a SP, the real WC have strong moral backgrounds.

Best not start slinging words like tramp around, as different people have different perceptions as what constitutes tramp behaviour.

kennyp I am not saying that everyone should know who they all are but whenever a celebrity show starts people all come on line and display the fact they don't know who they are like it makes them better, more intellectual people.
The fact is that truly knowledgeable people know about popular culture as well as literature, history and geography.

I'm not a fan of Page 3 and think that it's not much of a 'choice' to strip for a living but I'd rather rant at a society that enables such behaviour than a young girl who (misguidedly in my opinion) feels empowered by getting her breasts out for cash.

You may want to revisit 'feminism' in the dictionary...

Worra and Domino I am most definately not a snob. I was raised to use my brain, is all. My mother was not some hairy pitted, bra burner but did get angry if she saw us using what could be described a 'using feminine wiles'. She aimed us to aspire higher and it's only personal opinion but I am enjoying these toasted marshmallows on my flaming arse :D
