To expect to book a room for 3 children in a hotel?

Can anyone give recommendations of hotels that accommodate more than 2 children in a family room? I've been trying to find one all day for a weekend in Bristol and can only come up with self services apartments and the only ones left are really expensive! Help :o/

Thanks for all the comments, I rang Travelodge and they said they can't cater for 5 of us as they cant guarantee to get two rooms together, as our kids are under 5. I was going to try and cheat by just booking a family room and turning up with a travel cot but was put off after ringing the Marriott and Holiday Inn who both said they would not let us do this as it breached their health and safety regs. So gave up on that, too risky, didn't want to get turned away once we'd arrived. In the end we opted for an apartment as we wanted to stay for two nights and two rooms in a hotel for two night was getting really pricey, about £350-400 on average and the apartment was £207 and quite central.

I'm interested to hear some of you have stayed in these hotels mentioned though as I've heard such conflicting advice about their policies!

It is against health and safety, if the hotel were not aware of there being an extra person, especially in the event of a fire I think it may affect insurance too.
