Must be post Christmas stress, but a lot of grumps who seem to have logged on just to nitpick and have rows.

Chill everyone and have some more brandy butter.

My grandad always made brandy and rum and cointreau butters over Christmas, I never tried it as I like clotted cream with my Chrismas pudding, couldn't imagine eating butter in spoonfuls.

atthewelles · 27/12/2012 18:37

You're not joking. I posted, in post family coooped up together frustration, about the trials and tribulations of living with a non driver for a few days. I expected about half a dozen responses but its gone to pages and pages and I've been blamed, flamed, defamed, maimed, badnamed, shamed, and tossed on the fire.

I'm sorry, sorry, sorry............... and now its spread into this thread.

YANBU. I want to go home now in my car Sad

TheHoneyDragonsDrunkInTheIvy · 27/12/2012 18:38

Dunno Usual. You've probably had it but forgot ton by morning Grin

It'd be UtterlyWankerdly

tethersjinglebellend · 27/12/2012 18:39

Salmotrutta · 27/12/2012 18:41

I'm a grumpy cow.

And I'm a driver who has never tried brandy butter.

Do I win?

Salmotrutta · 27/12/2012 18:43

Oh and brandy is bogging DOG so you have missed nothing.

atthewelles · 27/12/2012 18:44

Hopefully all the grumps are getting their grumps out of their system on here and can then go smilingly back to their MILs, driver/non driver siblings, annoying relatives wanting fry ups for breakfast every morning....

LineRunner · 27/12/2012 18:45

Hello, atthewelles, you seem lovely on this thread. Tell us all about your trubulating relative (brither?) so we can sympathise instead. Smile

Yes, it's the bloody rain. More on its way in.

LineRunner · 27/12/2012 18:46

All the vowels rebelled on that post.

atthewelles · 27/12/2012 18:48

It's my sister Linerunner and I love her really but she has this car that her DP persuaded her to drive but she won't learn and I couldn't have drinks with the neighbours on Christmas Eve because I had to drive us all to midnight mass and I couldn't have drinks in my relatives yesterday because I had to drive us all home BUT tonight I'm off to a friend's for DRIIIIINKSSSS!!!!

Salmotrutta · 27/12/2012 18:48

I've just a grumpy disagreement with DH.

I was right, of course.

See, atthewelles if you'd posted that you'd have got a load of sympathy. Grin

LineRunner · 27/12/2012 18:50

I think you were right, too, Salmo.

McChristmasPants2012 · 27/12/2012 18:51

I am grumpy as DH is pissing me off :)

atthewelles · 27/12/2012 18:51

Oooh should I go back in there and explain........ Nah

marriedandwreathedinholly · 27/12/2012 18:52

Well my laptop has died so it isn't me - ha ha. And we have had a lovely xmas so notjing to moan about. And MIL goes home tomorrow :)

LineRunner · 27/12/2012 18:53

The driving is thread is now lost in the mists of opinion and anecdote, I think.

Salmotrutta · 27/12/2012 18:54

Would you not have had to drive yourself atthewelles?

I'm genuinely curious because if so you could have just tried swanning out the door whilst saying "Bye, see you when you get there!"

Grin
JammyDodger1 · 27/12/2012 18:58

Me thinks that thread lost its was somewhere maybe a tomtom required

whois · 27/12/2012 18:59

1 Brandy butter is delicious. Fact.

  1. I am feeling a little grumpy. Got back to the flat after Christmas with family and its looking all lovely with Christmas decorations, got my Christmas candle going, it's clean an tidy and calm BUT I've started to come down with a cold. Feel crappy. Humph. Thought I'd escaped a cold this Christmas!
