Stop pissing all over my Christmas spirit?

He doesn't believe anymore, and when I told him it was time to put out the brandy and mince pies for FC he looked at me like this Hmm I told him if he didn't, he might not get presents, then he looked like this Grin because he knows that's not going to happen.

Why can't he just play along properly to keep me happy!?

Aww - tell him if he doesn't play along then FC won't give him a stocking Xmas Smile

FrameyMcFrame · 24/12/2012 20:46

my DD is the same, she is 11 but we have DS who is 3 so I keep hissing at her because she threatens to say something about Santa being not real :(

LynetteScavo · 24/12/2012 20:48

My 13yo is really good at playing along.

He even looked relieved when he watched his video from PNP, and was told he was on the "good list". Grin

My 9yo has a face like this Xmas Hmm

My 7yo has a face like this Xmas Smile Xmas Shock Xmas Grin and totally believes.

Glad it's not just my child Framey! He actually takes responsibility for keeping the secret quite well around little ones, it's just me that he won't humour! I'm sure your dd would be devastated if she ever pushed it too far.

Tried that Wonder, it worked a treat last year. He knew, I knew, no one dared mention it, and everyone was happy. This year, no chance!

My 12 year old boy has dressed in the onesie provided by the xmas fairy, watched a film chosen by 5yr old dd, chosen the drink for santa and listened to me reading 'twas the night before christmas (on his own because Dd1 and Dd2 has already begged for bed) I think hes scared of me Grin

FestiveElement · 24/12/2012 20:50

I want one that still believes!!

I guess that's not a good enough excuse to have another really, is it?

Only give him a few in a pillow case and fill it with Brussels sprouts, tell him that FC replaces presents with Brussels if DC are naughty.

My 13 year old ds looked at me like I'd gone bonkers when I asked if he wanted to help his 2 younger db put out fc mince pie and milk!
You're definitely not alone!!

DS1 (12) bought some chocolate coins to put in the little ones' stockings and managed to keep them in his room and not eat them!

I read that as "pissing all over my Christmas presents" Xmas Grin

FestiveElement · 24/12/2012 21:35

Xmas Grin I really would give all his presents away if he did that!

I'm 46 36 and have been tracking Santa, there are no DC living at home now! DD aged 21 thinks I'm sad! :o

Alisvolatpropiis · 24/12/2012 21:43

I had to pretend for years after I didn't believe because my brother is so much younger than me. It kept Christmas fun. Being around young children at Christmas really makes a difference I have found.

TrinityRhino · 24/12/2012 21:48

My 12 year old enjoys keeping the magic alive for the little ones.

floweryblue · 24/12/2012 21:49

I have been tracking Santa in the shop, you would be surprised how many adults are very interested too!

DSis has actually banned presents under the tree at her house and DM's house, so that DN only gets presents after Santa has been! He is only 2 though.

Myliferocks · 24/12/2012 21:51

My 12 year old and 9 year old, who don't believe, helped my 10 year old and 8 year old, who do believe, put the treats out for Father Christmas and the reindeer. My 16 year old was nowhere to be seen!

FestiveElement · 24/12/2012 21:53

We've been tracking Santa too. I told ds that if Santa is good enough for the people that are responsible for national airspace security for the whole of North America, then he was good enough for him too.

I may have cried just a tiny bit when I read the page about the Colonel who started the whole thing
