I've bought this outfit for my 2yo nephew: www.disneystore.co.uk/mickey-mouse-cardigan-trouser-set/mp/50362/1000112+1000204/

I showed it to some friends last night, and they said it looks like a little girl's outfit.

I'm now wondering whether or not i should return the items, or just give them to my nephew anyway (along with gift receipt) and my SIL can return them if she wants.

Thanks for any opinions.

Lol, Hermione! And [wince]

pingu2209 · 23/12/2012 22:20

I'd say girl. I think cardigans are for girls.

ouryve · 23/12/2012 22:22

It looks fairly unisex, to me - and it buttons from the right.

louisianablue2000 · 23/12/2012 22:22

Refreshingly unisex.

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 23/12/2012 22:24

I seen that in the Disney store! It is definitely a boys outfit and it is in the boys section in the store along with a heavy jacket that matches.

It doesn't look at all girly in real life.

garlicbaubles · 23/12/2012 22:26

I think cardigans are for girls.

Right. You'd better tell that to everybody's Dad, then. And him.

Xmas Hmm
EnglishGirlApproximately · 23/12/2012 22:30

Oh, Ds has a lovely pink and blue striped cardigan. That would really confuse your friends op Grin

BlackholesAndRevelations · 23/12/2012 23:05

I think it looks very boyish. What's wrong with dressing girls like girls and boys like boys? When my dc are old enough to choose they can wear whatever they like (within reason!) but as a 2 yo he doesn't care what he wears. My DD on the other hand always wants to wear a "pretty dress" or skirt or pink. That's something inherent and nothing I've done! She wears lovely things in blue and I bought her a gilet from the boys section of a shop. (not sure where this ramble is headed?!) Grin

youonlysingwhenyourewinning · 23/12/2012 23:15

I think it's for either.

I would have definitely put that on my girls (I only have girls), but then I don't really subscribe to the pink for girls, blue for boys and I refuse to buy into the whole pink clothes, pink toys carry on ...

FlojoHoHoHo · 23/12/2012 23:18

Oh I think its lovely. I wish I had a 2 yo DS now!

ChippingInLovesChristmasLights · 23/12/2012 23:22

It's designed for a boy, but either could wear it.

5madthings · 23/12/2012 23:22

I would say its fine for either gender. i am not a fan of character clothes normally but that is very sweet :)

apostrophethesnowman · 23/12/2012 23:23

Cardigans are for girls?

...in the great British tradition of panto...

Oh no they're not!

LucieMay · 23/12/2012 23:25

Either but I'm not keen on little boys in cardigans.

ThePoppyAndTheIvy · 23/12/2012 23:28

It's a boys' outfit. Apart from the other things already mentioned, your main clue is that it has Mickey Mouse on. Anything aimed at a little girl would be pink with Minnie Mouse on.

ChristmasSpiritEndorphins · 24/12/2012 01:43

I looked under boys clothing and it was in there, so must be for a boy.
Fine for a 2 year old boy.

FuriousRox · 24/12/2012 01:52

In answer to the question I would say yes, it is for a boy or a girl.

catgirl1976geesealaying · 24/12/2012 01:55

Either, although my first instinct was "boy"

But either

Softlysoftly · 24/12/2012 01:57

Unisex, fits nicely with the boy trend for more fitted clothing even if it is waisted.

Lol garlic at using Mr girlie sarong as an advocate of cardigans are manly. Grin

missnevermind · 24/12/2012 02:20

Disney store rules -
Mickey for a boy
Minnie for a girl

Hope this helps Xmas Grin

missnevermind · 24/12/2012 02:21

BUT

DS had something similar that DD now wears.

sparkleyangel · 24/12/2012 04:15

I tend to think boys Mickey mouse girls Minnie mouse.

MyBaby1day · 24/12/2012 04:18

A little boy's. Go for it! Xmas Grin

HECTheHallsWithRowsAndFolly · 24/12/2012 09:29

It looks to me like it's equally for either.

Jingleallthejay · 24/12/2012 09:31

I would put that on a boy or a girl The cardi looks really bright as if it might be for a girl but it is great for a boy too
