Help me find owners - dead cat

Hi everyone,

I know this isn't really an AIBU thing but I need the traffic.

I found a dead cat today and I'd like help to find the owners, hopefully before christmas. I've checked local sites for missing pets but I think this happened today so probably too soon.

It was in the Penarth area (South Wales), the cat was black, not short hair and had a distinctive collar. Unfortunately I wasn't in the position to take the cat (home or to the vets to check for a chip)

I couldn't check the collar for info details.

Just so sad this has happened before Christmas. Do you know anyone in Penarth that has a cat matching this description? Any help to find the owners would be most appreciated.

If it's still there, please take it to a vet who can scan for a microchip and contact the owners. Bless you for being so concerned and trying to contact them.

I can't help locate the owners, but thank you for taking the time to try and find them.

Our lovely cat was run over two years ago and a very very nice man took her to the vet. Unfortunately she didn't make it, but I'd he hadn't helped I can easily imagine how we may never have found out what happened to her which would have been awful.
