AIBU to be a little bit peeved with DH...?

So my lovely dh, who works from home and very rarely goes out socialising, went out last night. I was pleased for him and said to let his hair down.
So he rolled in at 3am and is still in bed now with the hangover from hell...

I don't want to take away from his fun night but he's still got an hour of work to complete (for client) and we were supposed to pop into town today (so he could get another present for me) and its far too late now (wont get parking).

Just how peeved should I be, and what should his penance be? Xmas Grin

Not peeved at all

JugsMcGee · 22/12/2012 13:54

I would be anxious for him to make sure the work got done but other than that I wouldn't be peeved.

Ur being unreasonable !!!

WeWilsonAMerryChristmas · 22/12/2012 13:55

Completely unpeeved.

Purple2012 · 22/12/2012 13:59

If he did this all the time I wouldn't be happy, but as you say it's rare for him to go out I would let it go.

PerpetualAmnesia · 22/12/2012 14:00

I wouldn't be peeved as it sounds like it's not a regular thing. I'd probably go in with a coffee and just remind him about the work for a client. Could you not get the bus into town if you're worried about parking? Failing that, write off today and go tomorrow if that's possible.

Not peeved at all
& the hangover will be his punishment if he needed one

bradywasmyfavouritewiseman · 22/12/2012 14:00

not peeved at all. Since he doesn't do it ever.

If the work really must be completed today, wake him up.

If I was having a sleep in and something needed doing and couldn't wait I would expect dh to wake me. Not sit and stew and then moan about it.

I could set my alarm but i prob wouldn't remember if i was drunk.

Hehe gumby the hangover is definitely his penance, he feels awful! I'm not that peeved, as I said, and he is a brilliant dad and husband. I think just cos I'm at home with ds all week (15mo) and feeling pretty tired myself (must stop reading really good books Grin ) but ds down for a nap now and dh up eating dry toast Xmas Wink - oh, and he's going to do the work tomorrow.
