Sorry but not really getting the whole baby - rain - xmas. Are you very rural or something, or do you have urgent hospital appointments?

Everybody gets let down over these things now and again - especially over xmas period when staff/deliveries are stretched - what is the urgency that you find "morally repugnant"? Surely it depends on the terms of your insurance - whether you're entitled to a hire vehicle?

All I can gather is that your car was damaged, you're waiting for repairs and it's taking longer than you thought it might.

Many people manage with newborns without cars. How is it morally repugnant to be without a car? Really struggling with this one.

sorry upstart this is posted here for traffic not a classic aibu - as i know i am not.

i am well aware that people get by without a car - i didnt drive for four years with DD.

it is the run up to xmas - we had lots of things planned which we would DEFINALTY need a car for and had no idea we would be STRANDED without one.

If we were a couple with no DD and this was mid summer - not having a car would be a major annoyance - i dont think - it needs spelling out why we would want a car - with things to do - no easy public transport access and no money for trains in the rain with a new born and dd in the days before xmas!!!!
