She has been touted for months and months as the lead in Cinderella in our local panto. I have 3 huge DH fans and their grandma bought 7 tickets for the Saturday before Christmas as an extra special treat/Christmas present. Now she's otherwise engaged ... dancing in Strictly. I totally understand that understudies may perform because the star is sick or injured ... but had a better job offer, I mean really??? She's doing all the other shows so that's ok apparently ... really??? Our ticket prices were the same; there was no indication on the booking site that she had other plans for that night. I am so angry !!!

The T&Cs of the theatre state quite clearly that refunds will not be issued unless there is a "material change" and state explicitly that the use of understudies does not constitute such a change.

In that case it's obviously up to the purchaser to be aware of the T&Cs and do their research when buying the tickets and Dani Harmer doesn't seem to be to blame in any way. She would have been contracted to appear in the final Strictly even if she'd not reached the final itself and the theatre knew that, but it's not their responsibility to inform purchasers of tickets.

well I dont think her attitude stinks I think she shouldn't have signed up for panto that is her managements fault and I hear christopher biggins does it all the time just turns up then leaves , she probably didnt expect to get so far

Her agent/manager/the theatre messed up here. They should have forseen that this could have happened, but to say that 'her' attitude stinks is just

I'm not sure it's a fair comparison to theatreland where it does, understandably, happen in long running shows - because at least you will get a decent show there with an understudy.

Pantos are shit, so the only reason people must go is because of the z-lister celeb plastered all over the posters and it's a very short run. So I do think this is dishonest of the theatre.

For me the value of Shane Ritchie not appearing would have been priceless..

But coffee, she hasn't 'double booked' really. The theatre will have been fully aware of the scd contractual obligations, and vice versa. The theatre have possibly bent the truth a little, by omission of the full facts, in their promotion. Nothing at all to do with dh or her attitude. It's just how it is.

YABU - you have to accept when you book theatre tickets you could end up seeing the understudy - just enjoy and don't let it spoil your Christmas

why are some going on about her weight she is 22 years old she looks amazing she is under 5ft perhaps she is a size 6 or not who cares leave her alone she looks healthy

Hmm, she could be a size 6 she has a similar build to me by the lools of photos. Petite, slim but unfortunate large thighs. :( If I was doing a similar amoint of excercise to her instead of none I would look the same. My thighs and calfs get really huge due to muscle, but waist stays tiny.

IM a size 8 but have a huge arse and meaty thighs meh people expect women to be wafer thin to correspond with their idea of size
