I've got Celebrations. Bought them several weeks ago to stock up pre-Christmas and they are still unopened

DH bought some Roses back from work the other day, left over from his last tutorial group and they were not that nice - and I am someone who will eat any old choc.

Viviennemary · 16/12/2012 21:55

Roses by a mile.

Quality street are the worst ones. I like most chocolates except them. And not mad keen on these heroes either. Too sweet.

PacificDogwood · 16/12/2012 22:12

DH and I a currently munching our way through a large tin of Celebartions given to us last Christmas. Yum Grin!

I have no self-control around chocolate, but I'd much rather have nothing than Cadbury's. I think I have been put off by African Cadbury's chocolate bars which apparently contain more ?wax to prevent melting. Or summat. Anyway, it's vile Envy

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 16/12/2012 22:12

ALL OF THEM!!!!

catgirl1976geesealaying · 16/12/2012 22:13

Celebreations everytime Grin

McChristmasPants2012 · 16/12/2012 22:13

Celebrations. That's what 8 yr old DS said. I could not be arsed to make a decision so I said "Pick a tin", so he did. And we have (half a tin of) Celebrations.

lurkedtoolong · 16/12/2012 22:18

Roses and Celebrations. You'll eat one tin too quickly so you need a second in reserve.

Sausagedog27 · 16/12/2012 22:18

Quality street- but in our local supermarket they have swapped the tins for plastic tubs and they are now SMALLER and contain less chocolate than the tins. I feel conned.

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 16/12/2012 22:18

Its the only way to be sure you made the right choice Grin

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 16/12/2012 22:19

Cat your mis-spelling of celebrations makes it sound like you're saying it in a geordie accent Grin

Fakebook · 16/12/2012 22:20

All the milkyways and topics get left in our celebrations tin. Heroes are the only tin of sweets that gets eaten up fully. Quality Street ends up with all the blue nougat shit left in it. I like the memories associated with Quality Street.

BeyondStuffedWithXmassyGoodies · 16/12/2012 22:22

Quality street. Was roses til they took they coffee one out Xmas Angry
Celebrations get eaten too fast.

In other news though, they also do tins of sweeties...

BeyondStuffedWithXmassyGoodies · 16/12/2012 22:23

No topics in clebrations anymore, fake Xmas Angry again

BeyondStuffedWithXmassyGoodies · 16/12/2012 22:24

Think I saw a haribo tin and a swizzels tin...

McChristmasPants2012 · 16/12/2012 22:28

the plot thickens. Tins of sweets :)

OP posts:
Fakebook · 16/12/2012 22:30

No more Topics? So what have they been replaced with? They need to get rid of the Milkyways too.

Darkesteyes · 16/12/2012 22:35

Sausagedog in my local Sainsburys they had a purple QS tin for £5 OR a purple and white QS tin for £7.
So they have got bigger ones out but not many of them.
Im a Roses gal myself cos thats what we had in childhood.

cowardlylionhere · 16/12/2012 22:40

Roses taste like shite now (or more precisely perhaps, of a curiously tasteless wax) so I urge you all to save yourself a fiver and go for Quality Street. Have been avidly taste testing you see...

CaliforniaSucksSnowballs · 16/12/2012 22:44

Quality Street

BeyondStuffedWithXmassyGoodies · 16/12/2012 22:46

Nothing replaced the topic, after the twix replaced the galaxy truffle last year.
Seems it was only ever the UK who had topic and GTs anyway (according to wiki)

LordFlasheartsCrackingNuts · 16/12/2012 22:49

Whats in heros tin?

BeyondStuffedWithXmassyGoodies · 16/12/2012 22:50

In Australia, miniature heroes have BOOSTS in them

sparklychocolatepenny · 16/12/2012 22:51

Around here you would have to go for Quality Street as all the others seem to have disappeared from the shops.
