The kid in the Gangnam Style vid is seriously impressive also!

InNeedOfBrandyButter · 14/12/2012 22:57

Don't think this is amazing, seen better at family bbqs, weddings, christenings and birthday parties on dc's Jamaican side where a four yr old doing the butterfly is the norm.

The little girl was good but not wow wow that was amazing how did she do that kind of thing.

proofreader · 14/12/2012 22:59

Man, Africans have so much rhythm! - if that little girl is African, she is seriously ill.

Theicingontop · 14/12/2012 23:01

I think people are amazed because she's blonde Hmm

zookeeper · 14/12/2012 23:04

well I'm inpressed

InNeedOfBrandyButter · 14/12/2012 23:07

^^ is quite normal at family gatherings Smile

LolaDontCryOverSpiltEggnog · 14/12/2012 23:08
is much more impressive. Grin
vivizone · 14/12/2012 23:09

So you can't be African and white, proofreader?

Theicingontop · 14/12/2012 23:10

Lola I'm crying. Actual tears. Oh my God. Grin

proofreader · 14/12/2012 23:13

I was waiting for that rather obvious comment, vivi.

vivizone · 14/12/2012 23:16

Obvious answer to an obvious question.

I knew it would be that girl!

I saw one of her original youtube videos years ago, she is good and its really not 'booty shaking' at all.

proofreader · 14/12/2012 23:20

Obvious answer to an obvious question what question? I didn't ask a question, I made a joke. I assumed it was a thread for joking after your comment about Africans having natural rhythm, (man).

cantspel · 14/12/2012 23:24

she's french and it is ok but nothing special

AmberLeaf · 14/12/2012 23:24

InNeedOfBrandys link is not the norm IME not at all.

The norm in a dancehall by adults but not 'the norm' at family gatherings.

AmberLeaf · 14/12/2012 23:25

Id like to see those who think its not that good try to do those moves! Grin

A lot harder than it looks, 99% of posters here wouldn;'t have the agility.

kissmyshineymetalass · 14/12/2012 23:28

I agree AmberLeaf my Jamaican DP would not find our daughter dancing like that acceptable at all.It certainly is not the norm at any party I've been to!

cantspel · 14/12/2012 23:29

It's repetitive with just the same 5 or 6 moves strung together again and again

InNeedOfBrandyButter · 14/12/2012 23:29

Well it's my norm if not yours, the last birthday party I went to the women were all up in the cameras and one women slapped her dc because she wouldn't hold her new clarks up for the video man on her hype. Girls dancing like my link is a very normal experience in my world.

chrismissymoomoomee · 14/12/2012 23:32
is embarrassingly the norm at my social gatherings. May I particularly point your attention to 3.38 Xmas Blush (good job I love him, no-one else would)
kissmyshineymetalass · 14/12/2012 23:34

The norm for women to dance like that but not children. If my daughter got up and started dancing like that anyone related to her would make sure she sat her arse down and stopped with that stupidness it's far to sexual for children.would you allow your DD to do it?

kilmuir · 14/12/2012 23:34

horrible and not amazing

InNeedOfBrandyButter · 14/12/2012 23:41

I don't see any dance moves a little girl does that can be sexual in my eyes. I don't see little girls in that way. My dd is free to get up and dance if she wants even as a baby she used to move her head doing the "dutty wine" which was so funny, and she does have a few moves but if she ever did the splits up a wall and started cocking it up I think her grandma would drag her out and take her home Grin

suburbophobe · 14/12/2012 23:52

The girl doing the African dancing is brilliant. I should know cos I used to do classes in it! Grin

As for the Jamaican girl, I agree, that should be left to adults. It's embarrasing to watch it...(turned it off straight away).

AmberLeaf · 14/12/2012 23:59

Yes the norm for adult females in that sort of environment, not 7 year old girls. some may do it, but its not the norm.

Not every Jamaican is into 'slackness'
