To be a bit concerned about drastic weight loss six months after giving birth?

I was extremely lucky in that I returned to pre-preg size within a few weeks of giving birth to my first baby this summer. But four months later, I had to buy a belt just to hold up my pre-preg jeans... and now at six months, with the belt at the tightest notch, they are again hanging off of me.

Husband says that if it weren't for the fact that he sees how much I eat, he'd be worried.

I feel fine, and appetite isn't an issue. I'm exclusively breastfeeding and looking after the baby single-handedly during the week - and yes, there's lots of picking up/putting down, etc. but not so much that I'd expect to burn off this much weight.

Has anyone else experience similar? Should I be concerned about unexplained weight loss?

Thanks in advance.

I wonder if OP is ok after all this time?

Hey,

I starting weaning my son 5 months ago and introduced a formula feed. 6 weeks ago I completely cut out breastfeeding altogether. My period still hasn't returned. The past week I have been having period type pains and quite heavy discharge. Also my mood has been terrible. I really thought it would start but it hasn't. I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. Do you think this sounds like the start of it? I spoke to my doctor who said it could take 3 months! X
