If I get one more text or Facebook message saying "have you had the baby yet?" Or messages to that effect, I will tear that persons head off and shove it where the snow doesn't fall.

I am two weeks overdue, and am getting induced tomorrow if labour doesn't happen tonight. Frankly, I'm terrified and feeling extremely upset. I desperately wanted a quiet, peaceful water birth at the MLU where they only look after two women at any one time. I'm bricking it at the thought of a full on instrumental type delivery on a heaving labour ward.

I know people are just excited for me, and for themselves, but why are they so insensitive about it? I've had a three people 'requesting' I give birth on their respective birthdays too!!

Just #*?~ off will you, I will TELL YOU when my baby is born, I'm not being mean and cackling evilly to myself keeping it a secret!!

Had a curry for dinner and after two sweeps and a hideous amount of show, DH doesn't want to go anywhere near the business end! Can't say I blame him, it's pretty gross!!

Evening primrose oil capsules do the same thing if he's not keen.

I think the contractions from female orgasm can also help so you could DIY so to speak :)

Been there, done that.Wished DH hadn't told anybody my EDD.2 weeks of mails, phone messages and haven't you popped yet such crap from "well meaning" folks.

Switch off your phone, forget FB,concentrate on yourself and the baby, you don't need any more stress, overbearing people are stressfull even if they mean well.

Induced in the evening, mild cramps overnight(think period-like),wheeled to labour suite in the morning,DS born 3 hrs later.Ventouse delivery.Sounds scary but was easy peasy.

Good luck,you'll be fine :)

Yanbu. It is SO annoying. Its like you wouldn't tell them if you had or something Hmm I also hated 'where is that baby?' erm.. in my tummy I think.

Good luck, hopefully baby comes before induction.
