Am I the only person whose MN has an explanation under the posting box? That is pretty hard to miss, even if you are a first time poster?

Quick masterclass:
bold is a * each end of a word or phrase
italics is a ^ each end
strike through is two - each end
_underline is two each end
All hard learned and with much mocking when I got it (inevitably) wrong.

Well you learn something new every day! I'm the mobile site and the message box is much scrolling above the smileys and info on the links. And as I am lazy and have never seen the need I've never scrolled past the emphasis part.

Not that it matters but underline only has one at the beginning and one at the end? Strike through has two -- at either end though. It's not very consistent

It worked with two, didn't occur to me to try it with one.

I´ve never done italics as I can´t find the symbols needed on my keyboard
