To be suspicious of a poke in the eye...

DH came home from work early today after he got caught in the eye by a flying notebook....he went to a and e first with his boss, just in case, now....
There's no bruise, no blood, no swelling....and I'm sure if it happened to one of our kids he'd tell them to man up. He's currently acting like he's been mauled by a unicorn....surely it can't hurt that much right?

A boy in our class once poked a compass in his eye. There was no blood, no bruise. I think he nearly blinded himself though.

If its a cut to the eye ball then it bloody hurts.

Was hit in my eye once by a child's toy 24 hours later I could barely see out of the eye - had to wear an eye patch till it healed

Just wait and see what aa and e say

Equally as his boss is taking him - maybe health and safety?

Xx

Maybe I'm being mean then...it just surprises me as he's had a lot worse injuries at work and not made this much fuss!!

I had a paper cut on the white of my eye, it was very sore. DH couldn't see anything, told me to stop making a fuss and made me drive home. I ended up having to go to the GP and get some anti-biotic cream for it. It still bothers me a bit if I get dehydrated because the scar is more pronounced and rubs against the edge of my eyelid. If he doesn't normally make a fuss over nothing then give him the benefit of the doubt.
