but hear me out.

i parked yesterday miles away from the store, in an area with no other cars, got children out and did my shopping. when i had got back there was another car (range rover type) parked so close to me i couldnt open the driver door so i loaded the shopping and put both babies in from the same empty side all the time getting more and more annoyed.

so i lost it and wrote in the dirt on the door of the car "learn to park FREAK"

they could see i had two baby seats and that i needed to get in, why could they not of parked one space away.

aibu just to expect some courtesy.

No squirty mustard or ketchup? That's what someone attacked a Porsche with near us. They left us in no doubt what they throught of the driver.

EverlongLovesHerChristmasRobin · 04/12/2012 14:49

I don't like the evoque much prefer a vogue.

melika · 04/12/2012 14:49

Ha ha hope it leaves the writing in scratches when whoever has it washed! Serves them right. I deliberately park away from other cars too. I think my car is a magnet to idiots.

MrsBucketxx · 04/12/2012 14:50

no, it was packed with the shopping.

thats just a waste of sauce too.

I'm not into cars, and am not interested in the make of the car, just really glad to hear about people leaving these helpful notes to the drivers. I don't personally drive but am witness to a lot of inconsiderate parking!

BumpingFuglies · 04/12/2012 14:53

Can't believe anyone thinks it's right to put an insult on the other car! Doesn't set a very good example to the children, does it?

Why not leave a note? The driver probably just didn't realise what they had done.

melika · 04/12/2012 14:57

YANBU there are some stupid, stupid people out there and sometimes they need telling!

TryDrawingAPicture · 04/12/2012 15:04

YANBU. I totally lost it late one evening in a busy supermarket car park, having got back to my car to find that someone had parked about 4 inches from my door.

Happily enough, the chap came back to his car, after about 10 minutes of me wondering what to do and eventually bursting into tears. I just saw red. Our brief but, I feel, fruitful exchange went as follows:

Me: "HOW THE FUCK DID YOU THINK I WAS GOING TO GET INTO MY CAR, YOU PISSING IDIOT? A BLOODY GNAT COULDN'T GET IN THERE AND I'M 9 MONTHS PREGNANT. NOW GET IN YOUR CAR AND FUCK OFF"

Him: "Ooh. Oh. Er. Ok. Sorry."

I'm normally fairly restrained and rarely feel the need to dress strangers down in bad language at the top of my voice. I realised that I might have overreacted slightly when everyone within earshot turned to see what was happening.

Charliefarlie1192 · 04/12/2012 18:23

Not U but hilarious and if it had been my car I would have definitely got the message!

MightTinge · 04/12/2012 20:09

I dont get it. The could get them in the other side, yes?

TiddlyOmPomPom · 04/12/2012 20:18

I'm guessing the other driver is from the same species of twunt that get on a near-empty train carriage and chooses to sit right next to the only other person in it. Freak is correct. Whatever happened to giving people a bit of vehicular personal space?

Shutupanddrive · 04/12/2012 20:42

Yanbu

MrsBucketxx · 04/12/2012 21:21

Mrs DV good point about the DC.

Just a bit about the writing on the car.

FWIW I get it all the time, this parking too close business, but it's just not worth the angst.

SantaisBarredfromhavingStella · 04/12/2012 21:41

YANBU, in fact I think u were quite restrained tbh-I'd have opened both the driver & rear door ensuring it whacked the other car HARD (mine's quite old with lots of dings in it anyway, yours would need to be the same as you don't want to damage your own car if it's nice of course Hmm )

Jesus santa that's just nasty.

It might be some little old man whose car you are potentially battering whose parking skills aren't as they were.

Not all people are out to get you.

SantaisBarredfromhavingStella · 04/12/2012 21:55

Don't give a flying fuck who they are-if you can't park it then don't fucking drive it!!!

Have never looked in another car to see if it has child seats in when parking, I doubt many do.
