to be pissed off by great hulking restocking cages blocking supermarket aisles when the shop is really busy

You want something and there are 3 of those great big cages blocking the way. So you go and shove the cage out of the way and someone scampers over and hauls it back because they want to get past.

It's bloody infuriating. I don't mind if it is in the middle of the night or whatever but surely they shouldn't block the aisles with these things in the day.

Grumble grumble.

Yanbu
I get fed up with trying to shop round some one who blocks my view with a cage...
even worse when they are picking stuff for an internet shop.
I mean ffs I am there in person.....
I have only had one row though with some twattish bloke who objected to me moving his cage....
yeah , mate so ok for you to block my view(I was standing looking at a selection)
he was very rude, reported him.

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan · 02/12/2012 00:07

I have never noticed any staff doing an internet shop though. Perhaps I walk around with my eyes shut.

this was in the paper yesterday:

www.guardian.co.uk/business/2012/nov/30/dark-stores-feed-dotcom-shoppers

would solve the internet-picker problem. I get online shopping, I was convinced mine didn't actually go to the same shop I did, as they don't seem to be able to find anything!

McPie · 02/12/2012 13:05

I worked for tesco before my twins arrived and roll cages were only ever supposed to be at the top or bottom of isles not in front of shelves.
Home shopping trollies do my nut in so now go shopping at night to avoid them where possible. I know they have a tight time frame to pick but some of them are very very rude.

EdgarAllanPond · 02/12/2012 17:57

endo seems like a smart move..

much more ergonomic operation - no tills, no customers in the way - pickin 6 orders at a time to minimise travel for the picking trolley.

it could be the future!

JenFrankincenseAndMyrrh · 02/12/2012 18:23

I've also never seen internet shops being picked in store even though I shop at the one that all the local deliveries come from

edwinbear · 02/12/2012 20:46

YANBU. I was so incensed with it at the Tesco Metro near where I work, I actually e mailed Tesco to complain. They sent me a £5 voucher, although I'm sure there was much guffawing at the crazy lady with nothing better to do with her time.
