AIBU to say I'm having blonde moment when I'm actually brunette?

I'm brunette , but did say today after I forgot something 'Oh I'm having a blonde moment'

Does this mean I'm 'blondist' and think blondes are less clever than brunettes?

The associations of hair colour I have are

a) Blondes are a bit ditzy and not very clever

b) Brunettes are the epitome of intelligence

c) Redheads could start a fight in an empty room

Does your natural hair colour really have a bearing on your personalty??

Really you feel stereotyped.
I'm genuinely amazed. I thought this crap was long dead.

How sad.
I thought society was doing better than that.

YABU. Growing up (teen) I had long blonde hair and big boobs. I was approached by men at the age of 13, whistled at, called "blondie", "ditzy" and so on. Assumptions are made on looks and humour doesn't make it any less offensive IMO. I don't play on my hair colour and having a great pair of tits. They don't define me and the stereotypes are a pile of shitGrin

No jokes are ever made about blond men, just blonde women. Hmm

Ask yourself, are the Swedes known as stupid? Maybe all those Nobel prizes they hand out are decided in a room with all of them standing around saying 'duuurrrr' at each other.

BTW I am naturally blonde and have an IQ of over 140. What's yours? 90?

SkaffenAmtiskaw · 28/11/2012 23:32

Well no, not anymore, I'm too old now! But I used to, definitely, in my 20s.

SkaffenAmtiskaw · 28/11/2012 23:34

That was in response to Sarky

SkaffenAmtiskaw · 28/11/2012 23:35

Agree Lesbeadiva. That was my experience too.

ginhag · 28/11/2012 23:35

What, society so much better that your humour is... what exactly sarky? You think society should've improved to a point where no one minds being called stupid?

Am not riled btw, just Confused that you can lay on the ditzy jokes whilst commenting on how we should be beyond it all now.

Lesbeadiva · 28/11/2012 23:43

Does anyone have "black" moments??? No?? Shit! I wonder why! Hmm

Artemis206 · 28/11/2012 23:51

I have CRAFT moments (can't remember a fecking thing). Love brain fart, will have to use that one.

MuckingFunter · 29/11/2012 00:50

Fuck me, is there nothing that people don't find offensive these days? It must be terribly exhausting.

BOFingTheDude · 29/11/2012 00:56

On the scale of things to actually be arsed about, this about >< this big to me, as a blonde. Or even a person. But I just don't think it works on the level of a self-deprecating joke if you aren't blonde.

TerrorNotSoFrightened · 29/11/2012 01:04

I have been various shades of red, plum, brunette and blonde (and that is just in the last year) and funnily enough my personality has remained the same regardless of the colour of my coif.
So, yes YABU. But I think you already knew that.
