To not want meat every single night .

I work 3 or 4 nights a week DP is at home the nights I'm at work but he's full time . Not relevant but don't want to drip feed .
Anyway
I do the majority of the cooking , sometimes I even slow cooker stuff so when he's home with the DC's there is decent food cooking whilst I'm at work .

This week I've been unable to pre cook so he's fed them Basically shit food every night , however , I figure when home I'll cook some good food .

Tonight we had fish , there was a little gripe as to " where's the steak " but I said that " there's no harm having fish once in a while "

I've told him tomorrow is going to be meat free too . He straight away blamed Mumsnet for some "ridiculous idea they've put in your head " or something I've read etc , and why can't we have meat .

I'm sick and tired of fucking meat every fucking night and would love some fish or meat free meals now and again . it's not often but to continuously eat meat pisses me off

He's called me selfish cos we have 3 DC's , and he says " what about them " tbh they couldn't give a shiny shite if we had a couple of meat fee meals now and again ,

AIBU

I don't really want to cook for all of us and cook a meat meal for him . We have always had the same meals I refuse to cook different meals

He will leave the house at 8.00 am and come home at 6.20pm and will be quite horrified to not see half a dead animal on a plate

Amazed at the number of people who seem to think fish/seafood is not meat!

It is flesh of an animal = meat!

Do you mean meat as in meat, pots & veg every night?

Couldn´t stand that tbh.

But we also eat chili, lasagne, which although not meat free isn´t the same as meat & veg.

We also have fish a couple of times a week.

If he gets home at 6.20, that´s plenty of time for him to rustle something up & be eating at 7pm.

If he wants different, I wouldn´t cook for him.

Especially since it seems that you´re not cooking stuff he dislikes.

He sounds a bit like my FIL old fashioned.

One of my dcs favourite meals is chilli bean wraps. No meat.
Oh, and as for what about the dcs, how does he think veggie children manage to grow up strong and healthy?

YANBU, obviously.

We dont eat meat at either breakfast or lunch. This means we have meat/chicken most nights. We have fish once a week.

I think if he wants meat he should be able to add steak/chops/chicken piece to whatver you are having. He can cook (and wash up) that though.
