Nuskin friend, ISBU?

An old school friend has just contacted me to try and get me to join her selling Nuskin products. I have done a quick search and read the links she sent me and it seems to be pyramid selling and all a little too good to be true?
So, my questions are: is it actually the answer to my prayers and the way to being filthy rich?
If it's all bollocks, do you think she knows?
Because if she doesn't then I hope she doesn't lose £ herself, or if she does then does that make her a bit of a cow for trying to get me involved and to then make £ from me?

Nu- anything sounds a bit more attractive tbh

New you was the regenerating machine in Logan's run wasn't it.

It's a bit like Carpet right. They have missed a huge gap in the market...just think.

I know they already have Sleep-right. What about Light-right? for all your lighting needs. Or shite-right for bathroom fittings.

Isn't a 'galvanic skin response' just sweating anyway?

Nu makes me think Tulisa probably uses it.

It is NOT a pyramid scheme as distributors only earn commissions from product sales volume. However most people do not make money from becoming a distributor. In fact many lose money by buying product for themselves to achieve the minimum sales volume so as to earn commissions. If you do not have entrepreneurial skills and if you want to keep your friends give this a miss.
Yes it is on NYSE and share price dived recently when their business practices in China were questioned.
Most of NUSKIN's revenue comes from Asia. American's have grown tired of it.
Yes they are introducing a weight loss product next October called TR 90. They say it will be a breakthrough in genetically based weightloss reversing your metabolism to youthful expression. Yet to be proven.
The company is run by Mormons out of Utah. They have had a chequered past and been prosecuted more then once for making false claims.
Google Sandy Tillotson ( Co-founder and Ex-director ) to learn more about the company. Her ex husbands have a lot to say about this business.

I forgot to mention a couple of things. If you wish to purchase Nuskin products, you can buy them much cheaper on ebay. Why would you buy them from a distributor? Many ex distributors are selling cheaply just to recoup some of the money they have outlayed.
They recently opened in Vietnam with a very limited selection of products. Guess what? There are two or more websites in Vietnam selling the whole range of products at less than wholesale price and Nuskin legal has not closed them down.

I hadn't realised that it was GENETICS and not all made up bollocks oh no!, I'm going to have to ask DH why he's pissing his life away trying to sequence Malaria for not much money when he could clearly be making gazillions working for Nuskin [bgrin].

I reckon their sycophants distributors have a google alert for new discussions each day and they have a rota for who has to join the forum and try to convert us all to their miracle ways and guaranteed riches!

Another very interesting and not-at-all-biased first post. Hmm

Piss off you weird first time posting trolls.

You're not fooling anyone.

Yes you notmum75, DrDaveEdmiston, and DRZ1.

Acekicker · 04/12/2012 08:29

What you don't say DRZ1 is that the Forbes assessment is on the the trustworthiness of their accounting practices - it simply means that their financial reporting and corporate governance is in line with current accounting standards and best practice. Forbes don't consider the quality of the actual product NuSkin are flogging, nor the science behind their snake oils.

Forbes are saying NuSkin have "transparent and conservative accounting practices and prudent management" ie they don't book revenue for their snake oil sales until some poor sap has actually handed over the cash. That's got sod all to do with the actual product.

In terms of these 'partnerships with major universities' for starters how many aren't BYU and how many of these partnerships end up with peer reviewed papers in publications such as Nature Genetics - if the 'science' is all you claim it to be then I'm sure you'll be back very soon with a list of all those papers.
