H wants car tomorrow as he has a meeting for work, this means I'll have to get the bus leaving at least an hour earlier and getting home least an hour layer than usual. Not a major issue but my neighbour takes and brings home my kids from school so expecting her to have them for ages just seems cheeky especially at last min. So I said no and he's now downstairs with huff on. Should point out its my car, his is sat on drive because we can't afford to run it after he got sack from he's previous much better paid job.
So aibu?

That is really taking the micky out of your neighbour. Is he always indulged if he sulks. If I was your neighbour I would refuse in future.

Does he do other stuff that suggests he thinks that he is the most important person in the household? On the grounds that he is the one who has a penis?

princesskc · 27/11/2012 18:43

My neighbour I'm actually ready for this argument. It's not fair on her she does my a massive favor and I can't take piss by asking her can I?

I'm usually quite nice to friends/neigbours etc but I would be seriously unimpressed to be asked at such short notice to have someone's kids from 7am!!!1 - When it so obviously wasn't an emergency, IYSWIM.

Does that help you decide??

wakeupandsmellthecoffee · 27/11/2012 18:49

No you cant.

princesskc · 27/11/2012 18:55

Will you all be here to hold my hand at some point in the not too distant future? I usual just give in but the last year or so I seem to becoming a bit of a feisty bitch, just need reminding he's not always right every so often. I'm going to stand my ground on this 1!
Thanks for pointing out even the loveliest of people (as my neighbour is) have a breaking point and a 7am start would be it for me too, with no real notice that is.

no - and putting their back up when you need them isn't going to help - you don't want the "I'm sorry but this arrangement isn't working for me" text message.

also - once he does this once there is likelyhood of repeats.

maddening · 27/11/2012 19:00

no to your previous q - y to hand holding
