To send my daughter to school

DS 1 was sick on wed night, I caught the bug and was sick on Saturday. Tonight i have been up for the past 2 hours with DS2 being sick everywhere. DH (who has not helped tonight but that is ok as I would prefer if he didn't catch the bug)has now decided that he should miss work for the next few days and DD should stay off school as they are likely to catch the bug and pass it around. Personally I think this ridiculous and they should get out the house and do their best not to get the bug.

I am probably posting this as I am pretty pissed off with DH as every time I have come into our room to get a clean towel/sheet he asks if things are ok and I say either yes or no, but probably a bit snappy. He them sets of on a rant about not speaking to him like that. I feel like saying FFS I have just been elbow deep in puke, I will snap if I like!

If your dh is so convonced he will get the bug anyway he should be helping with the childcare and sick catching as what does it matter then?

He is probably right that he and your dd will get it but at the same time you cant all stay off everytme one of you gets ill.

Good point! Will bring that up at next puke incident. He will be scuttling out the door to work tomorrow.

None of mine stay home unless they have real and personal symptoms.

Get dh to call his boss and explain that for the foreseeable future he will be taking time off when any of his family are under the weather, just on the off chance he might spread germs.

I assume his boss would be fine with the whole productivity loss etc.

If so, retire to your bed and let him get on with it. Refuse to have anything to do with the lot of them until they are all healthy again. He's manning up.

Unfortunately he is the boss. it makes me really mad that he isn't putting his all into the business and wanting to get in. I agree it is ridiculous to stay at home waiting for symptoms to come.

Absolutely ridiculous! Let ds puke over husband, then ask if he still wants to be off for a day or two?

I'm assuming he gets sick pay....

So, he is lying around not helping so that he doesn't catch it and wants to take time off, not helping, in order to not pass around a bug he isn't catching because he won't help.

I hope he's not a scientist or logician by trade.
