Well tbf, I don't think it makes you a bad mum.

TuftyFinch · 24/11/2012 00:18

I do agree with Usual and Seeker that if this is a piss take it's not really funny. Or ironic.
However.

If it's real. It's real.

SirBoobAlot · 24/11/2012 00:20

Hmm They are entirely different.

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 24/11/2012 00:20

I can't actually remember the last time I seen a 3yo (or younger) with pierced ears...

I do live in the "real world" btw. Whatever the hell that means. Hmm

JojoLapin · 24/11/2012 00:20

No Tyson, most 3 yrs old I know do not have pierced ears. Most don't and I don't know a single toddler boy with an earring or coloured hair. You are trying to justify that colouring your little boy's hair is ok and "a bit of fun". Fine. I, on the other hand, think it is neither clever nor responsible but plain stupid.

naturalbaby · 24/11/2012 00:20

My 3yr old changes the way he looks every day, for fun. He has tried face paint, different hair styles, temp tattoos, dressing up outfits..

.I've got no idea what is in Tyson's hair dye but is it really that bad when their are mothers out there who adorn their babies heads with flowery headbands and twirly clips?

MrsRhettButler · 24/11/2012 00:21

I don't think it would seem different to a 3yo boy though would it SirBoob?

TysonsMummy · 24/11/2012 00:22

jojo if it doesnt harm him then whats the problem ? jojo most the toddlers i see have got earings

OP posts:
psychomum5 · 24/11/2012 00:22

yes, I have heard of natural, but it is still, in essence, a chemical that can cause harm

henna is natural, but its usage on children is greatly frowned upon as it can, in some cases, cause a reaction similar to a burn.

and natural hair dyes are also, in fact, more unpredictable than the 'chemical' hair dyes, as they do not come under the same stringent testing procedures, and so any fool can sell a 'natural' dye and cause real problems!!

MrsRhettButler · 24/11/2012 00:22

How many people spray or dye their kids hair green for Halloween for example?

EmpressOfTheMadBoxOfFrogs · 24/11/2012 00:23

I want to hear more from Junowiththegladrags on the subject. She's got a reasonable posting history (in proper English, not NMese) and seems to know the OP in RL - in which case, if the OP is genuine, Juno was being pretty unfair to let her post on here without a warning. She must have known what kind of reception she'd get.

If this is a windup, on the other hand, Juno's got to be involved somewhere.

seeker · 24/11/2012 00:23

And we all feel really good about ourselves taking the piss out of the working class stereotype, yes? Just delightful. Whoever is the poster behind tysonsmummy- I do hope you feel proud of your work.

TysonsMummy · 24/11/2012 00:24

pyscho like i said its more of a stain then a dye it wash out in like a few washes i did hairdressing for 3 years

OP posts:
psychomum5 · 24/11/2012 00:26

so what?? I have been mothering for 18plus years now, it does not make me an expert.

one of my daughters has done a hairdressing course for two years. She would NEVER recommend colouring a childs hair, be it stain or otherwise.

naturalbaby · 24/11/2012 00:27

well this is no fun anymore.

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan · 24/11/2012 00:28

I have no idea if this is real or not.

Either way it's not good. Whatever the thoughts about hair dye the oP seems nice, even though she scatterguns the old exclamation marks about.

If it is a pisstake - we you may as well get Marie Antoinette tshirts printed and say 'I like to laugh at the plebs'

I don't get it.

MrsRhettButler · 24/11/2012 00:28

Some of us here might be part of that working class stereotype seeker. People look at me and have their preconceptions, I don't give a shit, I can take the piss out of myself the same as the next person. I think I've gone off point though. Sorry.

JambalayaWarmMincePie · 24/11/2012 00:28

Most the toddlers I see have got earrings

Widen your circle OP, have you heard of the NCT at all? Smile

TysonsMummy · 24/11/2012 00:30

pyscho just cuz your opinion is diffrent doesnt mean its right ! ?? your daughter has her opinion as well but does it mean shes right even tho ive done hairdressing as well ?? fuck sake

People are being disingenuous - they must know that for a lot of people piercing ears when young is the norm. You may not agree with it, certainly, but no need to say 'well where I live that's not the norm'

MrsRhettButler · 24/11/2012 00:32

Just to squash the argument tyson, why don't you tell them the name of the stuff you use?

EmpressOfTheMadBoxOfFrogs · 24/11/2012 00:32

You gathered that we're allowed to swear on here then, TysonsMummy. DO you know Juno in RL?

psychomum5 · 24/11/2012 00:32

and your opinion doesn;t make you right either.

TuftyFinch · 24/11/2012 00:32

getorf I'll have one of those t-shirts. But only with Raglan, 3/4 sleeves. In green. Or grey.
