Crisps. AIBU or are the crisp companies taking the crunch?

I like crisps. I'm terrible, I can eat packets of them if I buy them. I popped into Nero's for a hot chocolate and a packet of salt and vinegar crisps (yum!), only to discover that the packet was 1/3 full, and the rest was...air. As was the packet behind, the one behind that, the one behind that...

I went to Saindbods and the Walkers were the same. What's happening to my snacks? Sad

The weight has decreased so they don't have to put up the prices too much. One day we'll pay the same and just get an empty packet...

I bought some monster munch the other day
The two packets I counted
6 in one 8 in the other
So lets say 7 monsters in a pack
6 packs 42 crisps
£1.48 per 6 pack
4 p a crisp! ( to nearest penny)

What a con

75p for a packet of crisps is very expensive IMO. I remember when a packet of walkers was 12p Sad

Plus nitrogen is lighter than air so you probably actually get more crisps for your money!

Monster munch packets look tiny, yet they say they are using larger sizes on the front (like they used to) Confused

Wow, I've never had that few in a bag of Monster Munch.
Maybe I always get big-size packets.

BarbecuedBillygoats · 22/11/2012 18:04

I think the individual packets are bigger than the multipack ones

BarbecuedBillygoats · 22/11/2012 18:05

I actually bought them because they were reduced. I'm glad they were at that ratio!

NotQuintAtAllOhNo · 22/11/2012 18:07

But do they still weigh the same?

BigusBumus · 22/11/2012 18:08

Do what I used to do as a child, crush them a bit - then you get MORE!

RubberBullets · 22/11/2012 18:09

Pringles aren't actually crisps as they don't contain enough potato
