Today's Metro had advice for a man who has been married for 23 years and still loves his wife very much. He works away in the week, only coming home on Fridays. She also works, looks after their children and runs the house. When he gets home he wants sex, she is too tired.
In amongst the advice about helping out around the house, or getting a cleaner, so that his wife would be less tired (and therefore more likely to be up for sex), was the suggestion that she cut back on her hours - so that she would be less tired, and therefore more likely to be up for sex.
I was genuinely shocked that this was seen as her problem, and that she should do less work, so that she would have more sex with her husband. Not saying that working too hard is no good for anyone, and it does take a toll on a relationship, but there was no suggestion that he should change his job eg to be home during the week.
AIBU to think that this was duff (sexist) advice?
