To get a real Christmas tree with a toddler?

Fake or real ... there is a chance it will get pulled over!

And surely the needles/lovely smelling pine cones being eaten is classed as one of your 5 a day? Grin

Real tree, 9-12 foot high.

Was more concerned about the cats than the toddler, to be honest.

For whichever reason Wink the bottom, reachable layers only had unbreakable decorations.

Ds was never allowed in the living room unsupervised by us while the tree was up. He was actually quite good about not "playing" with the tree and accepting a strong "No" from us!

Now, on the other hand, my db's 2 year old twins...... HmmHmm

It's not the toddlers you need to worry about. I was in a lot of trouble the year I fell into the family tree drunk as a skunk aged 19!

Always had a real tree when ds was small.
No problems at all.
I have a fake one now for convenience and the cats and dog are a a pain in the arse, particularly the dog as I can't put chocolates on it any more because of his big fat sniffing out beagle nose.

We had a real one but I put it up a couple of days before Xmas to minimise the chances of having it pulled over. DD smashed a few baubles - it was fine.
