to want *MORE* Playmobil for my DD

We have a housefull of playmobil but it all belongs to her older brother. While he will share, she would like her own, and she would also like something a bit more "girly" than the endless castles, roman, pirate, egyptian, police, firestation ect that we already have. It's not that she doesn't enjoy playing witgh it but she REALLY, REALLY wants the city house. My DH is adamant that we DON'T need ANYMORE playmobil and I do sympathise with him, but I really want her to have this house for Christmas, AIBU?

The holiday home and the motor home are brilliant. I have the original Victorian grand mansion tucked away in the loft, can't wait to see DD's face when that comes out of storage!

My friend at school had the original mansion. I remember seeing it all set up in Woolworths as well when I was younger. I wasn't allowed it.

Can't wait for DS to get the motor home. He also wants the pool which does look fab but I'm not sure if I want the hassle with the water. Is it as good to play with without water?

To get more is a sensible way to go, when you find little bit of playmobil round the house then it gets chucked in the playmobil box. We have such crates for Lego, Playmobil, Hero Factory, nerf guns. My parents and inlaws have often asked if they really want xxx again. I say yes because it's the only sane way to live. With my method all those rogue little bits of plastic have a home :) Even if its a temporary home.

My children have outgrown Duplo and the wooden train track but I found good homes for them. I passed a huge box of track and trains onto a play group, the 2 crates of Duplo went to a charity that had a drop in centre. If I hadn't resisted the offers for products that had a similar function, but not the same set, they'd have been more landfill!

Dd has the take along barn and animals and piles of random people including some pirates and a princess. I want to get her a house this year but she asked for pirates, so I have some from eBay, I still want to get the house. Now you all have me convinced we need the advent ones we already have a pocket advent calendar. Hehe I'm off to look on eBay see if I can snag some more.

Tell him it would be better to add to an existing collection than for her to start on something else (sylvanians perhaps?) which will take up even more storage space.
