The asian one in One Direction... He just used to be MORE asian and his skin was darker! Even DH commented on it whilst we were watching the shite factor tonight..

His beard and hairstyle are really italianate and his skin just looked so much paler. What was wrong with him before? He's such a lovely looking guy why couldn't they just leave him alone!!

Or maybe he's like the rest of us half Asian half Brits who lose the tan in winter, pretty much like the rest of Britain actually...

De-Asianised? As in skin colour? I'm mixed race and my skin is much paler in winter as well if that's what you mean.

My sisters are a good few shades darker than Zayn but by the looks of things I have similar 'shading' to him! We have a Middle Eastern father, British mother 'combo' too. I go from a yellowish colour very pale hint of a tan in winter to well 'tanned' in summer. Whereas my sisters stay well tanned year through.

Genetics are weird.

YABU to be even worrying about 1D they are a boy band who gave their souls to simon cowell when they signed their contract so they will be styled and look how he wants them too (well stylists)
the Asian lad looks like any other boy of that age maybe sometimes his make up is a little lighter but come on deasianised that is not even a word never mind a thing you can do to somebody

I just looked further on in the thread he has a white mother I do think skin tone does change on anybody people can look paler I have a mixed race friend her grandfather was african , anyway some days she can look as white as a ghost and other days she looks really dark, meh to deasianised
